Who is responsible
The website paterakisvisuals.com is run by Giorgos Paterakis, who works as Paterakis Visuals and is based in Chania, Crete, Greece. He decides why and how your data is used (the “data controller”).

What I collect, and why
The contact form
If you send the contact form, I receive your first and last name, email address, phone number, the topic, your preferred date and your message. I use them only to answer you and to plan a shoot together.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). The message arrives in my email inbox. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. If you become a client, your details are kept as long as needed to deliver the work and for the bookkeeping the law requires.
Protection against spam
To stop repeated automated messages, the form keeps a short record named after a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. It holds only the times of your latest submissions, with no name or contact details.
Server logs
My hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) to run the service and protect it from attacks. I do not use them to identify visitors.
What this website does not do
- No cookies.
- No analytics or tracking tools.
- No advertising.
- No fonts or scripts loaded from other companies: everything the pages need comes from this website.
While a browser tab stays open, the site keeps one small note in it saying you have already seen the opening animation. It contains no personal data and disappears when you close the tab.
Videos and links to other sites
If a video appears in the gallery, it loads from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) or Vimeo only after you click it. Links to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber and Telegram take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
Who receives your data
Your data is not sold and is not used for marketing. It is processed on my behalf by my hosting and email provider, Hostinger, and shared with others only if the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to show you your data, correct it, delete it, limit how it is used, give you a copy or stop using it. Write to the email address above and I will answer within one month.
If you think your data has been handled wrongly, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority: www.dpa.gr
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
